Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop

I was going to pass on the Writer's Workshop for this week, just because I wanted to but when I saw the prompts I couldn't pass it up. Here are the choices (if you don't participate, now is a good time to start):

1.) Describe your latest obsession.

2.) Ask a loved one to use 6 descriptive words to describe you and report your findings. How well do they know you?

3.) Who was your first bloggy friend? How did you find each other? Do you still correspond?

4.) Tell us about your pet! If you have a weird infatuation with your dog or cat we want to hear about it (or if they just plain drive you crazy)...but please don't compare them to children. It's just not the same.

I chose #2.

So the first loved one I saw, who can actually participate in this would be my wonderful 10 year-old son, Alex. He had no trouble at all coming up with 6 things. So I let him know that these were things that he thought of when he though of me, his mom. This is what he proceeded to say, "Yeah, I know. Dumb, Stupid, stuff like that" Said with a big cheesy grin. What a turd.

Here is the list he came up with:

I don't know but I think it's a pretty good list for my son to come up with. I love the fact that I am both 'cool' and 'embarrassing' at the same time. Maybe that means he secretly likes when I embarrass him?!!

Okay, hubby's home so here's what I got from him.

Dad: "You know who hard it is to think of something like that?"
Alex: "Yeah, it's hard to think of stuff."

Me: "Homely??"

Dad: "Yeah, like you like to stay at home. What you don't like my words?"

Alex: "You know she's writing down all our words?"

Me: "Hell yes I'm writing all your words, I want everybody to see how you all treat me."

Dad: "I still love you, Mom. You know?"

Too funny! And I once had a guy friend call me homely. I was like "That is so mean"
He meant because I like to do things like sew and nurture and stuff.

Crazy boys!

Aw! You did too get good words, what are you talking about? I mean, what mom wouldn't love to get those words from her 10 year-old son? Naturally, you're embarrassing to him; you're his mom. Homely, though. That made me lol. His words make you sound a little like the 7 Dwarves (6 Dwarves??) I'm picturing the Dwarf named Homely. hee!
