A little advice and a big donation

First of all I must say I am totally stoked to be the inspiration for one of Mama Kat's prompts. I've always wondered what it would feel like to be someone's inspiration, and now I know. Thank you so much, Mama Kat. Now on to my writing, I will be choosing numbers 3 and 5. The rules clearly state that you can choose more than one.

#3 Advice to all parents: Take daily life with a grain of salt. Enjoy every minute you can with your kids. If you need a break take it, it will make everyone happy. If you do take a break don't feel bad about it. Everyone needs a break every now and then.

#5 If I had $5,000 to donate I would give it to our school. Not directly to the school, but I would choose a class that is wanting to go someplace special for a field trip. Or give it to a teacher who wants to do an awesome project in class. Or I would give it to the library so they could buy some super cool current books. Or I would donate it to our janitors for a meal out at a steak house, they all do a wonderful job at our school and have a thankless job.

Click here to see all the other wonderful writings at Mama Kat's blog.

The Prompts:

1.) Grab your current read. Let the book fall open to a random page and share two “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
(inspired by Heather)

2.) What do you aspire to be?
(Inspired by The White House)

3.)Share a piece of unsolicited parenting advice...only I'm soliciting it.

4.)Tell us about your blogline...how long have you been blogging, when did you start, what were/are your goals for your blog, etc.
(inspired by Corn)

5.)If you had 5000 dollars to give away or donate to a charity...explain what you would do with it and why.
(inspired by Hallie's letter)

How cool that you inspired one of the prompts!!! Awesome!

And I love your advice .. you are 100% right on. Every so often, I realize I need a break and I ask my husband and just escape for awhile. It feels so good!

And I love your charity idea! It is fantastic!
