Mom's [My] Pink Cuddly Quilt

I am so excited. I finally got 'my' quilt done! A wonderful lady at TheCuttingEdgeQuilt had instructions for a swirly quilt that I thought was pretty cute and would be something I wouldn't be able to do. (Triangles scare me.) But once I read through her tutorial I thought it sounded like a piece of cake, and it was! I really had a lot of fun making this quilt and even enlisted the help of Alex. He actually enjoyed cutting the triangles and ironing some of the pieces.

It wouldn't have been big enough as a baby quilt so I added a few borders. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Of course the pictures don't do it any justice. Ashton hasn't gotten back to me on the new camera. :(

I can't wait to snuggle up with it on the couch while we finish watching The Boy in The Stripped Pajamas. We only made it about 45 minutes into it but I really like it so far. I really don't understand Hitler and all that jazz but Joey really enjoys history from that era, and I'm kind of getting into it too.

The boys and I made a trip to the Zoo yesterday for something to do. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the day. The weather was great and it wasn't too crowded. We really had a great time.

Hi Heather, your quilt turned out beautifully - it's neat to see it in different colours and with borders!

Thanks for your nice comments about my tutorial - you've made my day and I'm glad the instructions worked out for you :)

Cheers,
Christine
