New Year's Resolutions

I always have things that I hope to do and call them resolutions, but never do them. This year I've decided to just have small easy to accomplish goals. The main one being, do more things for me. Being a momma to 5 kids doesn't always leave a lot of me time. Sure I'm home all day, but I'm usually busy doing household stuff.

Not anymore. Now I'm going to work harder to get my chores done then I'm going to do some quilting, do more reading...but no napping. Got off to a good start today with this goal. No nap and I worked on Mariah's zig-zag quilt a little bit. :)

I also want to go on more walks, and drink more water. I know this seems like a simple task, but I normally drink 0-1 glasses of water per day. So not enough. Check on this too. Today Joey and I took the kids to the school's gym. While they were shooting hoops I walked around the gym, and then we all played Knockout (we called it Chase in Indiana), and a little 2 on 2. Great workout for us all. Plus I had a bottle of water.

I wish I had a magic wand that I could wave and take away all the stress in my life. That would be my other goal, and unless I could get rid of maybe 3-4 kids....I'm going to have stress. So I'll just have to deal with it.

As for a recap of last year, I don't remember what I started off the year with as far as resolutions/goals. I do know I wanted to read 30 books and I did. I finished my 30th book on 12/30/09. :)

Have you set any good resolutions?

Good luck!
Just a tip...when I did weight watchers, we were allowed to drink crystal light towards half of our water goal for the day. The rest needed to be straight water. Anyhow, it really helped me, because often I don't drink anything during the day and when I did it was rarely water. Having it flavored really helped get to the 64oz per day goal.

Happy New Year!

ANd, good luck......I only made one resolution this year and I'm bound to break it.

Patience. Not my best virtue. :)

Did I tell you I moved?

Lordy ... I didn't realize you had 5 kids!! Holy cannoli. I think it is a wonder you get anything done.

And I think your goals are just perfect ... they sound reasonable and doable. : )
