Wordful Wednesday

Wordful Wednesday is for those of us that like to showcase a photo(s) but that just can't seem keep our mouths shut about it(them). If you'd like to play along, post a photo on your blog, and let the words roll. It's been awhile since I've participated, but is just so happens I have some pictures to share today and it is Wordful Wednesday!

I was looking through my stash of material for something white to add to Taylor's quilt and I came upon some bigger pieces. So I thought I'd through them together for Simon. And I've been dying to practice my stippling with my new Embroidery Foot. Which I received yesterday. I was/am so excited.
I ran out of white thread so I only got about half way around the outside edge. Stippling I think is harder than it looks. I'm glad I'm using Simon's new Car's blankie as my practice. I am definitely NOT a pro, but I love the crinkly way it looks. And, I don't remember who said it but they were right, use a thread color that matches your material. I was an absolute wreck sewing on the blue with the white thread. The backing of the quilt is a dark blue and looks horrible, but it is the back so I'm not too worried about it. This is some of my better stippling...But now I do see one part that I don't like too well.
P.S. Don't worry Staci, I'll eventually get to your's. (Unless you want to fight Simon Cooper for the Car's Blankie.)

For those of us that are craft challenged, what is an embroidery foot? I have mental pictures that are probably not accurate LOL

Looks great. I'm craft challenged so I have no clue, but I love it.
