I don't know if it's what I've been doing or the very late hour (1:09 a.m. officially right now this very minute) but I am almost to giddy to sleep.
I started off my evening at around 9 p.m. looking at this (Rachel's) blog. Please go there, it's wonderful. She has spearheaded The Mountain Baby Blankets Project, because of an episode of 20/20 she watched. I haven't watched the episode yet, but tomorrow I'm going to. It seams that there is a group of children and elderly folks hidden up in the mountains of Kentucky who need help. I think I'm going to try and make up some quilts or something. I want to watch the 20/20 episode so I know more about it. But after looking into her blog for about 2 hours I found out that she is a divorced mother with 3 little ones (this by the way is not her claim to fame) but she writes wonderfully. I really felt like I was reading a story in a book. And I found myself laughing out loud and almost tearing up too. I have never felt quite like that so quickly after stumbling across a blog, except for MamaKat. She did get me to laugh and cry almost simultaneously in the first week.
So Rachel's blog layout looks so crisp and clean that I thought I'd do some house cleaning around my blog. So I googled (and I quote) "cute blog templates" and I got a blog that blogged about the Template Mama. And I've been searching through templates, and layouts, and stuff ever since. Hence the new look of things.
I am exhausted. If I wasn't so tired I probably would have changed from this "Summery Scraps" layout to the " 'Owl' Remember You" layout. But they are all so stinkin' cute. Go check 'em out.
Please if you only do 2 more things in your life let it be these 2 things. Check out Rachel Cox's blog and the Template Mama's blog.
Now I'm off to find more widgets and gadgets to add to my blog. I've just got so much room now. :)
