Spring Cleaning

After coming back from a weekend away and about a week of logging into my blogger account I feel overwhelmed. I love following all the coupon blogs, but these ladies post about 5 times a day, and all my favorite real people with real blogs about life and books and quilting get lost. So I'm un-following some of them. No offense to anyone who might realize that I'm no longer following them (I will still visit all the great sites, I'll just get there from my blog roll of favs.).

So onto what's been happening. I had a great time at Daytona Beach. My parents own 3 weeks at a great condo right on the beach. We spent the weekend sunning ourselves by the pool, walking on the beach and eating some great food. It was a nice relaxing get-a-way!

This is a photo of me and my 2 sisters. This is taken at Ponce Inlet at a great restaurant, Inlet Harbor. I learned what Mahi Mahi is and couldn't eat it. I suffered through some delicious Flounder, but could only think of The Little Mermaid. But when my dinner came, it looked more like Flats the flounder from Spongebob. I don't know, but I think I may have to give up fish...or just call it fish, not any name I might associate with something else.

I've been busy working on some Etsy orders. I love spring, because everyone always comes up with great ideas for signs. I've just made 4 signs for one customer...Veggie, Garden, Herbs, and Berries. Makes me want to get busy in my garden.
I spotted a new bird at the feeder today. Before the day was over there were a pair of them. I found out that he/she is a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. The site I have linked back there has an awesome feature where you can hear the song of the Grosbeak, and I hear it all the time in our back yard, so there must be more.
I love the vibrant black, white and red colors of this fella. He may knock out the finches as my favorite. If not it is a tie for 1st.

What have you been up to?

P.S. Isn't is amazing how many things you can find on the internet? Look at all the links I have. Aaamaaaazing (another Spongebob goodie)!

This is what happens when you leave the camera home alone

Actually Joey had the camera to take pictures of Taylor and her prom date, Alex. I thought he actually did a pretty good job, and of course Taylor looked very pretty. Alex....eh, not so much. :) Just kidding, he's a good kid.
Here's a shot of the couple they went with. Both of these girls I have to say are only freshmen. I hope they realize how lucky they are to be able to go to prom. My parents would not even let me think about it until I was a Junior and at the allowed age by our school's 'rules'.
Taylor said she had a great time. Her boyfriend and his brother had a few friends over for a bonfire. She was home by her curfew time, and even called to say she was on her way. She handled the evening very well....as far as we know. It was prom ya'know.

Now that it's bird season you will probably see several pictures of birds here and there. I just love watching them and snapping some shots. The bird on the left here appeared to be a cardinal that was more of a gray color. I don't know if that makes it female or what the deal it. It was neat to see though.
And my current favorite bird....my finches. A beautiful yellow and vibrant red one. I really need to do some research. I believe the bright yellow is a male, and the red I'm not sure. Guess I'll have to do some Googling.
