Just another manic Saturday

Well, I was going to post all about me. How much I love fall. Maybe share some pictures I've taken with my new camera. Then I got distracted by my profile picture. It was fun for summer, because I love grilling, but now that it's fall I wanted something more season appropriate. But I came across this beautiful thing.....
For her birthday Mariah's mom took her to a friend to have some professional pictures taken. Mariah's dream is to be in movies. Her mom is going to get her an agent and make up a portfolio and get her in the movies. :) *Big GRINS* We'll see.

Any way back to the beautifulness, I can't believe how great the pictures turned out. Mariah had a friend go along with her for the photo shoot and she got a few poses taken too. Little Miss Friend just happens to be on my volleyball team, and she is among my favorites. She is such a quiet little cuss, but when she gets in the mood she really can let loose. I just love her.
How could you not love her with those huge blue eyes. Her baby sister has the same eyes. They are so sweet.

All me

I think I finally have a look that is all me. Last week I stayed up late trying to find a blog layout I liked, and I thought I had, but I was wrong. I wanted something plain and simple. Well I finally have it.

Yea for me!

This week has been such a screwy week. This coming weekend is supposed to be our weekend with the girls here for the weekend. They are however planning on going on a mini-vacation with their grandpa. Being the great parents that we are said they could go but wanted to have a few days with them here at home to substitute for our weekend. So they are getting around to go back to their mom's right now and I can't help but feel like today is Sunday. That's the normal day they go back. I'm having a hard time grasping that it's Wednesday.

The weekend away for them will actually work out quite nicely for us. Technically we will be 2 weekends without the extra kids running around. And I can't wait. I love 'em, but I love even more our summer with only 2 little kidos. We'll see how the weekends pan out. From past experiences SheMom normally forgets that we haven't been shorted anytime and is more than happy to have them come back over for the weekend.

I normally don't post much about my thoughts and feeling on SheMom {that's what I'm gonna call her} because the kids sometimes read my blog. But I have been feeling the need to get some stuff aired. So there may be more real mom vs. step-mom info to come. I don't know we'll see what happens.
