If I've upset you I'm sorry...

....but I've got sucked in further than I ever thought I could. I have/had way too many blogs to follow. Most of them I never even read. So those of you I just don't read any more I've un-followed. I'm sorry. No offense to you, I just don't have time to read all 243-some blogs I was following. I try to leave comments on every blog I read and I wasn't doing that either. So hopefully that will change too.

Now on to a happier subject. Fall. I love it. It has become my favorite season. This past weekend our family went with my husband's cousin's family to Mackinaw City, Michigan (Up North for those of you not from Michigan). We had a great time visiting Fort Michilimackinac's Fort Fright, shopping, swimming, going down a zip line at the Mill Creek plus much more. It was a great time. Our family drove across the Mackinaw Bridge just to eat breakfast at McDonalds. It was a great way for our families to spend some time together.

I made 2 pumpkin pies today. Simon and I are dying to cut 'em up and eat a piece or 3. I love fall mostly of all for the yummy foods that go with the season. Joey has requested my pumpkin roll, he loves it. And I've got to do what I can to make him happy. Usually any food makes him happy. :)

I have some quilts that I still need to get working on to get finished. Since school and volleyball has started I've just been too busy/tired to do much of anything. For some reason I think that wearing my fall apron has helped this out today. I just feel like an authentic Susy Homemaker. Baking, cleaning, dishes, laundry. I'm just an ideal wife! ;)

Guess I better get back to 'work'.

Just another manic Saturday

Well, I was going to post all about me. How much I love fall. Maybe share some pictures I've taken with my new camera. Then I got distracted by my profile picture. It was fun for summer, because I love grilling, but now that it's fall I wanted something more season appropriate. But I came across this beautiful thing.....
For her birthday Mariah's mom took her to a friend to have some professional pictures taken. Mariah's dream is to be in movies. Her mom is going to get her an agent and make up a portfolio and get her in the movies. :) *Big GRINS* We'll see.

Any way back to the beautifulness, I can't believe how great the pictures turned out. Mariah had a friend go along with her for the photo shoot and she got a few poses taken too. Little Miss Friend just happens to be on my volleyball team, and she is among my favorites. She is such a quiet little cuss, but when she gets in the mood she really can let loose. I just love her.
How could you not love her with those huge blue eyes. Her baby sister has the same eyes. They are so sweet.

So for the love of all things beautiful, check out my flickr to see them all.

I say "Biz" you say "E", Biz E, Biz E, Biz E.....Yea we're BIZY!!

Since I've had a lot going on lately and have many other things I'd rather be doing instead of spending time with this laptop, I'm going to combine several things today. Here's first up.....

Six Sentence Saturday.
My dear Sister-In-Law, Staci of Life In The Thumb, does a great little thing she calls Six Sentence Saturday. She does a great book review in only 6 sentences!!!!.
At the end of each review she posts a
rating scale of 1-5 using playing cards.
Rating scale is as follows:

5 of Hearts- You must read this book NOW!!
4 of Hearts- A great read, put it on your TBR list.
3 of Hearts- Glad I read but no big deal
2 of Hearts- Why did I finish this?
Joker Card - Don't bother (why did I?)

This book connects several lives through a quaint, old tea house on Mulberry Street. There are many trying things that happens to the group of neighbors, one of which is the tea house burning down. But life goes on for them all, and actually ends better after the fire and re-building of their beloved restaurant. I absolutely loved this book, it was very fast, enjoyable reading.

Alex ran in a huge Cross Country Invitational today. I can't even tell you how many schools where there....20 maybe. The races were divided up by age/grades. Alex ran with all 5th and 6th graders (boys & girls) and came in 7th place! Which earned him a metal! It was a great way to end a very long day. Alex just got beat out by his buddy at the end of the race.

I've been geared up for fall, and put out a few of my fall decorations. I cut several branches from different bushes around the house and made this cute little arrangement. I don't know if I am more excited about the fall season or being able to take pictures with my new camera. I purchased a Kodak Z1012 IS off of ebay. It was used but you can't tell from looking at it. Hopefully it will last me a LOOOOOONNNNGGGGG time! I really like it. I'm a zoom freak so and this camera will work perfectly for that. I also am glad that I can change the settings for how many megapixel it takes a picture in. I forgot to put the memory card back in today and was glad to discover this feature. I was able to get a few more pictures on the internal memory using a smaller MP.

Our county's fair is just getting underway. Monday we have school off. It is a county wide holiday, "Fair Day". No public school student will have class Monday. Tuesday we also have off for professional development for teachers. I'm looking forward to the very long weekend. With only 3 weeks of school under our belts, I'm ready for a break. One of my bus kids shows beef steers on Tuesday so I'm looking forward to being able to watch him this year. He's one of my favorite kids and I always tell him I'll try and make it to one of his shows but never have. He had a champion steer last year, so his family is excited about this year again. He's a 7th grader, and a pretty good kid.

So, now I'm off to finish getting ready for my Jewel Kade party tomorrow. The only plus side to it is I don't think I have too many people coming so I'm not going to totally freak out about the house being spotless.

Have a great end to your weekend.
